How to sell on Volusion

Volusion is an online store builder that provides you with anything from hosting & domain, so that anyone can sell online with Volusion.

Please follow these steps to start your business with Volusion:-

Step 01 :

First you need to setup your own account for start your online business. You can take 14 days free trial for know about

Volusion. You need to register yourself.


First Name : Fill your name in the tab of First Name.

Last Name :Fill your last name in the tab of Last Name.

Phone Number : Fill your Number in the tab of Contact Number.

Email Id : Just fill your id in the tab of E-Mail Id and create a password for your volusion account.


Step 02:

There are two main systems that make up your Volusion account: your store Admin Area and MyVolusion.


MY Volusion : MyVolusion is for all Volusion merchants. It's where you'll manage your business relationship with Volusion, including contact info, identity verification credentials, billing details, secure communications, and plan features


First you need to login your account with that credential which has been created at the time of registration.


Configure Magento

After successfully login you just land on this page. You'll be asked to pick a secret question and give the answer. Volusion will use this to verify your identity whenever you contact Volusion by phone or chat, so pick something easy to remember, but not so easy that other people can guess it.

Now let's take a look at the headings on the left: in particular,

My Account : My Account is where you'll view, manage, and update your store's billing and plan information.
My Tickets : My ticket is where you'll create and view secure text communication with us.
My Stores : My store is where you create your email accounts. It also includes a quick way for you to get to your Admin Area.
2 Admin Area : You'll spend most of your time in the Admin Area. It's unique to you and your company; it's where you'll design your website, add products, and process customer orders.

Visit . As same as my volusion, you need to login your account in
Admin Area then submit your login details and click on login tab.

Step3:

Once you're inside, you'll see the Dashboard, which gives you a bird's-eye view of how your store has been doing over the past week, the past month, and the past three months. Notice the eight tabs at the top of the page.

Dashboard: You can get back here at any time by clicking
1 Choose a design: Just click on select template and choose your own design.
2 Upload Your Logo: You can upload you're store logo by click on upload logo tab.

Volusion Plan: After click the tab of start selling you just land on page of Volusion plans. There are 4 plans. You just need to select month or annual.

Mini Plan: The Volusion Mini Plan gets you started off right with up to 100 product uploads. No transaction fees are required from Volusion, but the credit card processing fees are always something to look for.

Plus Plan: The Volusion plus Plan amps up the features a bit, since you receive everything that comes in the Mini Plan, along with 1,000 product uploads and 3GB of bandwidth. Abandoned cart reports are available with the Plus Plan, helping you bring back those hesitant customers. Ratings and reviews are included with this plan, for building a community and showing how other customers like your products.

Pro Plan: The Volusion Pro Plan starts getting up there in price, but the features certainly match what you pay for. Your product limit is all the way up to 10,000 items, and your bandwidth is 10GB, supporting heftier ecommerce websites. Along with all the features from the previous plans, Volusion Pro comes with customer relationship management tools, eBay integration and Amazon support.

Premium Plan: The Volusion Premium Plan is the highest option that Volusion offers, and it gives you the ability to upload unlimited products. Not to mention, you get 35GB of bandwidth. Along with everything from the previous plans, you receive a dedicated account manager from Volusion.

Orders: Orders section is where you'll manage and process customer orders.

Customers: Customers section is where you'll manage your customer and administrator accounts.

Inventory: In Inventory, you'll manage your products and the merchandising categories they belong to.

Categories: There are many different ways to configure categories within Volusion, as well as some additional uses for the categories feature. You can Add, Edit, or Delete categories; view a list of all categories; and edit the menu titles. You can also rearrange categories by dragging and dropping them into place within the same menu or into another menu.

Products: Adding products to your store is a straightforward process. You can create your product with as in simplest way. You just go to inventory, click on product then click on add product & fill your product details, add image & additional details of your product then click on save.

Option: Product option is using in variations of product. If you have 60 variations of that one t-shirt. You could spend a lot of time creating 60 different products, or you could use Product Options to make life much easier.

Import/Export: Volusion Import/Export system allows you to quickly update or modify the database tables that form the information backbone of your store. From updating new products to integrating with third-party services, this system lets you harness the power of Volusion, take control of your store, and extend operations beyond the Volusion ecommerce system.

 

Standard Import: The import function allows you to quickly import a large amount of data to create new data within a table, replace an entire table with new data, or update existing data. Please follow these steps: –

  3. Overwrite Existing data
  4. Import

Standard Export: This section covers how to export information out of your Volusion system and into an external file. Data export functions within Volusion support exporting to CSV, TAB, PIPE, and XML file formats. Please Follow these steps:

Vendors: The Vendors portion of the Admin Area acts as a bridge between products, receiving, and purchase orders.You’ll need to configure vendors if you’re planning to drop-ship orders (your store automatically sends a purchase order to a third-party order fulfillment company who will ship products directly to customers) or if you intend to use Volusion' s Purchase Orders and Receiving functions to order product stock from a third-party vendor. The following will show how to create a vendor.

  1. Go to inventory > Vendors and click on add.
  2. Configure vendor information by setting.

 

Purchase Orders: The Purchase Orders system is your primary tool for sending order information to vendors. The Purchase Orders page provides several ways for you to send that information. Since the system is closely tied to the Vendors page, setup is minimal.

Receiving: The Receiving section of your Admin Area will serve a vital purpose. With your store’s Receiving tool, you can process purchase orders from vendors, distribute new product into your stock, process returned merchandise, and enter new stock into your inventory.

Product Key Distribution: The Product Key tool can help you distribute access codes essentially passwords containing letters, numbers, or characters ' to customers who purchase licensed or access-restricted products.

Add Product Key

  • Click Add near the top of the page.
  • Enter the necessary values, using the table below as a guide.
  • Click Save to finish.

Warehouse: Warehouses essentially act as an appendix to your store’s shipping calculations. Once an order is placed, the system checks to see if any of the products are assigned to warehouses. It then calculates shipping for the entire order based on the warehouse information.

Creating a Warehouse

  • Make sure the Enable Product Warehousing Optionsvariable is active. To find it quickly, click Search and enter “Warehousing” in the Name field.
  • Then go to Inventory > Warehouses.
  • By default, there is no warehouse information pre-configured for your store, so you’ll need to create an entry in the Warehouses table. Click Add near the top of the Warehouses page.
  • Fill in the required information for each new warehouse you create (all fields are required).

Marketing: You'll create promotions for your store and connect with your customers through social media and newsletters.

Design: Design is where you'll manage the look and layout of your store.

Reports: Reports is where you'll get more detailed and customized information on how your store is doing. You can manage and track every aspect of your store with your store's powerful report tools, you'll be able to maximize your revenue and capitalize on valuable sales trends.

 

span>Reporting The Reporting page is divided into three sections: theReport Generator, the Report Graph, and the Report Table. From the Report Generator area of the page, you can select the type of report you want and select the criteria of the report. Used for tracking your affiliate and campaign information, this page provides an easy method for viewing information on sales driven to your store via advertising campaigns, affiliates, and more you'll be able to quickly and easily view your return on investment from affiliates and advertising campaigns.

Affiliate Stats: The Affiliate Stats page contains useful information regarding orders that have been placed in your store. You can customize the Advanced Filters to view records based on year and month to determine how much commission an affiliate has earned, which affiliates are the most popular, and more.
